Common Vision, Common Action:
Creating a Regional Agenda for Social and Ecological Justice
October 13 - 15, 2017
University of Victoria
Lekwungen / WSANEC Territory
Looking toward the municipal elections in the fall of 2018, this conference brings together social and environmental organizations, activists, politicians and community members to develop a regional policy platform for progressive candidates in the Capital Region.
The conference will consider topics including: housing, land use and transportation; decolonization, reconciliation and self-governance; arts, culture and education; parks, ecological protection and food systems; inclusive communities; water, waste water and climate action; grassroots democracy; and sustainable economic development.
We welcome the participation of individuals and organizations in this important discussion. The registration fee for individuals is $30 at the door, with no one turned away. We encourage you to sign up as soon as possible to avoid missing out, as space is limited.
If your organization is interested in sponsoring, we are happy to discuss options such as using your organization's name or logo on our promotional materials, including a speaker on a panel, or setting up an information table at the conference. Please contact us to discuss.
